A Heart for Bluegrass

Tonight, My father and I joined in on a Bluegrass group in the Marietta Square. It was the closest thing that we've had to a relationship in a long time...

We used to go to Bluegrass Festivals and things like that when I was a little girl.

What I can remember from them, and it still appeals to me now, is that fact that with Bluegrass music...your ears just want to "soak up" every single note, every beat, and every word.
It is essentially so captivating...it truly is the root of all westernized music today.

Need more proof?
My father began to break...
Careful, Bluegrass can do that to you.
I believe it was the accomplice of something Great that was stirring in him tonight.
I love my father so much sometimes, it breaks my heart just to look at him.
His eyes just emit this sorrow...I hate that he feels regret over his life.
He did show fruits tonight though.
Hope!
I have faith that God will answer my prayers in His time. :-)

Expression

I am so anxious to start writing again, however, I am also very nervous. Writing entitles a form of expression, something that I've never been very good at.

Forgiveness - It's Beautiful

This was to one of my old roomates Lauren, after she accepted my apology and wrote a note on myspace about it. I'm glad the Lord has blessed her with understanding...

Psalm 130:3-5 (New International Version)If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.

Reazling that everyone, and everything can be forgiven...is accepting that we all fail. and we are ALL given a chance to get back up...do we all take it?Forgiveness is very humbling, because you are recognizing that no one is perfect.

You are right about forgiveness Lauren, it is indeed opeing your heart to Love.John 4:8"God is Love"Open your heart to Him, and he will take away your burden. In Him,Jamie Lynn

Fears and Feelings

The downfall of all and every friendship....

is honesty.

the kind that they don't ask for....are you entitled to share anyway?
I've had many different (sets) of friends in my life....I'm starting to wonder...is it them? or me...

They never ask. They NEVER ask.
So why should I tell?

I want to give this problem to God. He will tell me when, and who I need to speak with...maybe someday, perhaps it will be with Him.

Come Away My Beloved

My parents are about to leave, for 7 days, on a cruise, BY THEMSELVES. OK, so either one of two things can happen. They will either throw each other overboard, or come back completely and incandescently in love.

Hm. Knowing my parents and thier 25+ years of marriage....it's not looking good!

It's another dreary Saturday morning here at SOHO HERO. So what else is new?

Last night, I read a passage in my book that started a fire in my heart.
The book is called..."Come Away My Beloved" by Frances J. Roberts

and this was it...

"I love you, and if you can always, as it were, feel My pulse beat, you will recieve insight that will give you sustaining strength. I bore your sins and I wish to carry your burdens. You may take the gift of a light and merry heart, for My love dispels all fear and is a cure for every ill."

It made me feel so loved. It made me feel purpose, and made me reach deep inside. I often struggle with the little voice in the back of my head. As it is, I hear it nontheless, I just never LISTEN to it.
Hearing and Listening.
Hearing OR Listening.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33

"Resign all into My hands-your loved ones as well as your own self. Be obedient to the still small voice."

Interesting

Your more concerned about the temporary pleasures of this world, than your eternal salvation?
